Marriage proposals are so much fun to photograph. I get to hide out or pose as a tourist so I can capture candid images of the magical moment. I just photographed Matt’s proposal to Michelle at the beautiful Chateau Saint Jean in Kenwood, California – in the heart of wine country.
Matt made an elaborate plan for a trip to St Jean to go wine tasting. He had arranged for a private patio to be staged with flower petals – and a photographer – that’s me!
I was hiding in the shadows so I could photograph the whole thing. Michelle started doing the cutest happy dance when she realized what was happening.
Needless to say, she said YES! And she LOVES the ring 🙂
Chateau St Jean is really a beautiful property so we strolled around and photographed the freshly engaged couple all over the winery.
What an honor to photograph this incredibly sweet couple. Congratulations, guys!!
Heather and Brian live in Napa and wanted to have a little Napa flavor in their engagement photos. We chose to meet at Angele on the Napa Riverwalk which turned out to be a great location for the engagement photos.
We had a great time cruising up and down the Riverwalk, photographing in its many picturesque nooks.
We even photographed in the spot where they did a selfie on their first date 🙂
The three-day signature fundraiser has raised $108 million since its inception in 1999. Set in the Napa Valley, the V Foundation Wine Celebration brings together people from the investment community, technology, medical, sports, entertainment and wine worlds to raise money for the fight against cancer.
I shot the setup for The Lux Productions who designed the event at The Estate Yountville in August 2018. I’ve also photographed weddings at this awesome venue.
As a Marin wedding photographer, I get to photograph some amazing locations. We have these incredible gems like Old Saint Hilary’s Chapel in Tiburon where Dusty and Patrick were married last weekend. The grounds around the church are beautiful with old stone walkways and steps. The inside of the chapel has beautiful diffused light and photographs so nicely.
These portraits of Dusty and Patrick were shot in the ambient light from the chapel windows.
This is Zooey the flower dog. Adorable.
The reception was held at cozy little place down the hill in Tiburon called the China Cabin. It began its life as the Social Saloon atop the PS China which made 30 round trips to Asia carrying mail and passengers in the mid 1800’s.
My friend Kirby fronts a San Francisco band called Hush Crush. I did these portraits for her to use for band promotion. Kirby looks gorgeous on a bad day, but on this particular day she was simply stunning with the expert hair and makeup artistry of Cassandra McClure.
On a crisp San Francisco evening in late November, I photographed this awesome corporate holiday party for a bay area tech company. Terra SF is a really cool venue with big open spaces and a large outdoor area. The lighting and entertainment for this event was provided by Gatsby Entertainment Group.
We just photographed the wedding of Lana and Eric at the Wedgewood Stone Tree in Novato, California. The property is really beautiful, overlooking the lush golf course. What an honor to be part of their sacred event!
