Darren and Steve traveled all the way from Liverpool UK to San Francisco to be married at the famous SF City Hall. We gave them the rockstar treatment with morning Dutch Courage drink at Gangway, the oldest gay bar in SF. We then took them to SF City Hall for a beautiful ceremony and photographs. Then we took them on a tour of San Francisco with photos at all of their favorite landmarks. Such a fun day! Planning by O Frabjous Day Events. Photography by Jim Vetter Photography.
A week ago, Susan and Tom were on the beach in Hawaii, on a pre-honeymoon honeymoon I guess, when Susan noticed a San Francisco City Hall wedding had just posted. She hadn’t yet thought about getting a photographer for their upcoming elopement so she reached out to me immediately. I was available on her wedding day of Tuesday, 4.18.17 and here you go!
Jim Vetter Photography proudly presents the wedding experience of Shab & Joe!
The night before their wedding, my friends Shab and Joe had a fantastic rehearsal party at Wingtip in downtown San Francisco. Wingtip has a beautiful private club on the penthouse level of the building. Their guests enjoyed great live music, killer wines, and hand-rolled cigars.
The wedding ceremony was held the next day with the ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. It was attended by family and a handful of close friends. They took their vows on the top level balcony. This is my favorite spot in City Hall because the light is so beautiful.
Shab made her entrance to the reception by marching up the street with a New Orleans jazz band called Brass Monkey! It was the most fun I’ve ever seen in a grand entrance. Shab’s friends and family joined her for the procession.
Bimbos 365 Club has been around since 1931 and has seen a lot over the years. What it saw on February 20th, 2016 was a once in a lifetime celebration of friends and family with great music, delicious food from Taste Catering, and incredible dance performances.
The DJ was the one and only Mancub of Space Cowboys fame. He kept the music to the high standards of this eclectic audience. The Duniya Dance and Drum Company was so entertaining! If you’ve never seen this kind of dance, you will be in for a treat. You help but smile as you watch them. They do it with such joy.
Shab and Joe wanted to throw a party that gave them the opportunity to cut loose with their friends. They simply wanted to have fun and make it all about the celebration with the people they love. They certainly succeeded!
We LOVE city hall weddings! Jane and Rex were the sweetest couple We were honored to photograph their day. Just check out that DRESS!
San Francisco City Hall Weddings are some of my favorites! The building is amazing – inside and out. I was so excited when Claire and Josh hired Jim Vetter Photography to photograph their wedding. They are a lot of fun and I knew their guest would be too.
Piglet, the french bulldog was even in the wedding 🙂
The inside of City Hall is full of beautiful spaces to make stunning photographs. Below is Claire and Josh in one of the five-flight marble stairways in the building.
Does Claire’s dress rock or what? Yes, those are Ostrich feathers 😀
After having a great time making photographs in City Hall, we hopped in the limo and headed over to the Embarcadero for some bayside portraits before hitting the reception at Epic Roasthouse which sits right on the Embarcadero walkway next to the Bay Bridge.
Claire looked flawless throughout the day. Her makeup was done by the firey Maria Parra.
Claire’s bouquet was created by the talented Anna Hoffman of Loop Event Design.
The scrumptious cupcakes were made by Jen’s Cakes. Always amazing, Jen!
Claire’s beautiful hair was done by Taryn Tamblyn. She looked amazing all day!
I grabbed this shot of City Hall on my way home. What a sweet wedding venue.
Thank you, Claire and Paul!
