San Francisco wedding photographer, Jim Vetter Photography recently had the awesome honor of photographing the engagement session of Monica and Eusong in two separate iconic San Francisco locations. We first did engagement photos at AT&T Park – home of the San Francisco Giants. We then went to the west edge of San Francisco to make more engagement photos at the cliffs over Sutro Baths. Check out the highlights slideshow…
Monica and Eusong obtained exclusive access to the ballpark just so we could photograph their engagement session there. We were the only people in the entire park with the exception of a few security staff, some guys tending the field, and one Hunter Pence.
We were able to photograph in the dugouts and around the outside of the field as well as in some of the suites above the first baseline.
We had perfect weather for this session. All the way through to sunset, it was really pleasant near the ocean.
We never actually made it all the way down to the ruins of the old Sutro Baths. We started at the upper parking lot and worked our way down the paths, stopping at the amazing spots you see here below…
I was introduced to Erica and Robert by the amazing wedding planner, Solmaz Burke of Pretty Occasions in San Francisco. Erica & Robert were planning a September wedding at one of my favorite SF wedding venues, The Bently Reserve. I was very excited to be chosen to photograph their big day!
The couple really wanted to have a metropolitan feel to their wedding as well as their engagement. I suggested that we have the engagement session downtown and make use of the beautiful architecture of the Embarcadero Center and they enthusiastically agreed.
When we met in front of Embarcadero Four I had the wonderful surprise to see that they had just adopted a crazy-cute french bulldog puppy on their way to meet me that afternoon! He didn’t even have a name yet but he was full of personality and kind of ran the show that day. Can you believe how beautiful this puppy is?
In my regular style, we wandered around the Embarcadero in search of great spots to shoot. We were gifted with beautiful light everywhere and had a fantastic time. The Embarcaderos have really cool walkways that spiral up through multiple levels. The next few images were taken on that walkway.
Of course, we had to jump on a San Francisco cable car at the bottom of California Street. What could be more San Francisco than this 🙂
I LOVE to photograph in the city with my super wide 14-24mm lens! I’m able to capture the towering buildings that make downtown San Francisco so cool. This lens also makes people look really tall and thin when used correctly. People seem to like that for some reason.
I had been wanting to do this show below for some time. Erica and Robert were down for it so I set it up and we braved the cold air just long enough to get this awesome shot of Erica and Robert frozen in time while the city zips by all around them.
I’d like to thank Erica & Robert for being such fun people to photograph. I’d also like to thank Solmaz for introducing me to this wonderful couple.
The wedding is just around the corner. More photos to come…
Jim Vetter Photography proudly presents the wedding experience of Shab & Joe!
The night before their wedding, my friends Shab and Joe had a fantastic rehearsal party at Wingtip in downtown San Francisco. Wingtip has a beautiful private club on the penthouse level of the building. Their guests enjoyed great live music, killer wines, and hand-rolled cigars.
The wedding ceremony was held the next day with the ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. It was attended by family and a handful of close friends. They took their vows on the top level balcony. This is my favorite spot in City Hall because the light is so beautiful.
Shab made her entrance to the reception by marching up the street with a New Orleans jazz band called Brass Monkey! It was the most fun I’ve ever seen in a grand entrance. Shab’s friends and family joined her for the procession.
Bimbos 365 Club has been around since 1931 and has seen a lot over the years. What it saw on February 20th, 2016 was a once in a lifetime celebration of friends and family with great music, delicious food from Taste Catering, and incredible dance performances.
The DJ was the one and only Mancub of Space Cowboys fame. He kept the music to the high standards of this eclectic audience. The Duniya Dance and Drum Company was so entertaining! If you’ve never seen this kind of dance, you will be in for a treat. You help but smile as you watch them. They do it with such joy.
Shab and Joe wanted to throw a party that gave them the opportunity to cut loose with their friends. They simply wanted to have fun and make it all about the celebration with the people they love. They certainly succeeded!
On a characteristically blustery day in San Francisco, Jim Vetter Photography captured the joy of Emily and Ty for their engagement photo session. This was shot just a couple of weeks before the wedding.
I just love shooting engagement photos in Golden Gate Park! There is so much beauty to choose from. In this session with Susan and Al, we shot around in the Music Concourse and in Shakespeare’s Garden for their engagement photos.
Christina and Brian are the cutest young couple. They have been sweethearts for a long time already and really wanted to have a San Francisco engagement session. We photographed them in Golden Gate Park near the Music Consourse, Shakespeare’s Garden, and Japanese Tea Garden. Then we also shot at The Palace of Fine Arts and Baker Beach. We had a beautiful day and an even more beautiful couple.
Last weekend Jim Vetter Photography had the honor and pleasure of photographing the very cool wedding of Tifany & Luke at the Old Mint in San Francisco. The Old Mint, built in 1869, is the actual building where they minted silver coins and made money. This building survived the great earthquake of 1906 and if you ever go inside, you’ll understand why.
This venue was a great fit for the unique personal style of Tiffany and Luke – slightly edgy, slightly industrial and classicaly good looking!
And hats off to the amazing wedding professionals who made this event possible:

What a beautiful evening for engagement photos in San Francisco and at Baker Beach! San Francisco Wedding Photographer, Jim Vetter Photography had the honor and pleasure to photograph Dawn and Steve for their engagement last weekend.
We began by taking the streetcar downtown and then jumped in Steve’s old Bronco to head down to Baker Beach. I must say that Steve’s open air Bronco is a great way to see the city!
Thank you so much, Dawn and Steve! I had an amazing time with you as always. love you guys!!
