The Sequoia Retreat Center is one of my favorite venues for photographing weddings. It is big but cozy. It is gorgeous. Your guests can stay in little cabins and you can have a true destination wedding in the forest. Definitely check it this Santa Cruz mountain location.
The fabulous wedding professionals who made this wedding possible:
Karyna and Ben contacted me about doing a maternity photo session and wanted to do it in an outdoor, natural setting. I had done two other maternity sessions up on Mt Tamalpais this year and suggested that we go up there again. To my delight, Karyna and Ben loved the idea. Needless to day, Mt Tam gave us a beautiful setting for this shoot.
Photographing weddings in northern California is such a privilege. Wedding days like the one we had with Monique and Joe at the Sequoia Retreat Center in Ben Lomond, California really make us appreciate the beauty of where we live and the warmth of our clients and their families. Monique and Joe are especially kind and staggeringly intelligent. It was a pleasure and an honor to share their wedding day with them.
Nature gave us one of the most perfect weather wedding days I can remember. However, it takes more than good weather to put on an amazing wedding. We had a stellar team of wedding professionals who really brought it all together:
Robin and Blair were married on a perfect May day in Felton California at the beautiful Fern River Resort near Santa Cruz. Robin and Blair are good friends of mine and it was a great honor and pleasure to photograph their wedding. They were surrounded by amazing friends, family, and incredible nature in this picturesque setting.
This secret location high on Mount Tamalpais in Marin County is one of the San Francisco bay area’s greatest photographic gems. I have made some of my favorite images up here, including another maternity session just a few months ago. This maternity session is one of my all time favorites. I hope you like it too!
Julia had met me a few years ago at a wedding fair. She had wanted me to photograph her wedding at the time but I was out of her price range back then. When the time drew near to do a maternity session, she reached out to me again. While I certainly love doing maternity photography in the studio, I was so excited that she wanted to do an outdoor session and I knew of the perfect location.
If you’d like to do a similar session on Mt Tamalpais, please give me a call!
